03. Fan Poster


In this Unit, you will learn to use a Word document to create a Poster which contains a Team Profile of your favourite Sporting Team (or any other Team where you have "real" people information - such as "X-men" and the Profiles will be about the Actors playing the characters.  Such as "Hugh Jackman" - playing Woverine.  

Your Team profile will contain a picture of the team member and name, with some Info about the person - Where born, Where they live, Date of Birth, Height, Weight, etc. Also some information about their Work - teams played for or Successful competition wins

Students Learn To:
  • Create an A3 Landscape document
  • Insert a Text Box and resize it - possibly changing orientation/aspect of the box by rotating it.
  • Insert a Word Table inside the Text Box and resize the Table 
  • Insert an Image into one of the cells of the Word Table
  • Format Image by resizing it or cropping it.
  • Insert formatted Text into other Cells
  • Change Order of objects on page - using Send Back or Send Forward

  1. Create a folder in your M:\2016\5COM folder called "Poster"
  2. Inside there you will create a new Word Document called "Poster" or your team's name

  3. Insert a Text box
  4. Insert a 2x2 Table in the Text Box and resize the Box edges to fit in the Text Box

  5. In top left hand side, insert a picture of your Player/Team member

  6. In top right hand side, insert Name of Team member, formatting text - using Word Art, or simple change Font and Size and Colours.

  7. Insert Background colours in each cell of Table by using the "Fill" colours option.

  8. The rest of Poster may be formatting according to your Team's colours, names, logos, etc.

  9. Insert more Player Profiles - focusing on "Leading Strikers or Defenders, etc"

  10. Format each Player Profile in a Consistent and interesting way
