Unit description:
Database and Information Systems play a major role in our lives. Much information is gathered about us from the day that we are born. How this information is used and the impact that it has on society is discussed in this unit. This unit also deals with the tools used to develop such systems. Students are presented with a scenario from which they need to design and produce a solution. Outputs of the system will be considered, data will be entered and manipulated through searches and sorts, and reports will be generated.
